- Restaurant Fouad Khalil - مطعم فؤاد خليل
About This Spot
Nestled quietly amid the lush embrace of Harissa’s forested valley, Restaurant Fouad Khalil offers a serene retreat that feels like stepping gently back in time. This is not a place of hurried meals or flashy presentation, but rather one where the pace slows down and conversation finds its natural rhythm. The surrounding nature softens the edges of the world, creating a calm refuge away from bustling city noise and modern distractions.
Walking into Fouad Khalil, you immediately sense a comforting authenticity. The atmosphere is quietly alive—where rustic charm meets the warmth of genuine hospitality. The décor and setting invite diners to settle in for a lingering meal, one that reveals its layers slowly, like turning the pages of a cherished book. It’s a place where stories are shared over plates that hold tradition in every bite.
The culinary experience here feels rooted in the earth and history of Lebanon’s northern hills. Rather than a simple list of dishes, the meal here is a celebration of textures and flavors that speak of family tables and communal moments. Mornings’ fresh raw meat meets the tangy brightness of homemade pickles, while creamy labni and smoky batata harra bring balance and soulfulness. Each taste is a gentle reminder of time-honored recipes, enhanced by the lively presence of the staff whose friendly spirit lifts the mood without overpowering the quiet joy of the setting.
Eating at Fouad Khalil feels like being welcomed into a home where food is a conversation, comfort, and a form of storytelling. It’s a place where the view, the forest’s quiet vigil, and the subtle clink of plates blend into a memorable experience that lingers long after the meal ends. Here, mealtime becomes a pause—not just to feed the body, but to nourish a sense of belonging and place.

Great authentic Lebanese food. The decor and ambiance of the location is just what you would want when diving into a 3 hour traditional meal. The restaurant is off the beaten path and takes you back to a day of many moons ago. You will leave full, satisfied, and happy.

A great restaurant in the middle of the valley that offers a variety of Lebanese food starting from mezza all the way to desserts! Food is exceptional and super tasty, portions are pretty good and the prices are excellent! Desserts and coffee are on the house after you finish eating. You can also go to the horse stable that is in the vicinity and ride a horse around with the help of one the people who take care of them. Highly recommended restaurant
